I hope all of you are having a great week! Are you ready for another Glam Bag review?
I have been absent for a few days. As many of my readers already know, I am a writer and contributor for Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global magazine. I have been super busy writing! I submitted an article last week, and am now getting ready to submit one that I’m co-writing with a psychologist. I’m very excited! I will let you all know when it is published.
Now, raise your hand if you read my beauty tips and beauty product reviews! I am going to start sharing some of my favorite beauty secrets that I have learned over the years. As we all know, especially for those ladies after forty, making our skin look young, healthy, and gorgeous by just using our favorite anti-wrinkle cream is no longer enough. There are so many things that we need to implement in our diets and daily beauty routines. So, stay tuned!
Ok, it is time to switch gears and get started on our Glam Bag review!
The day after Valentine’s Day, I received this Mini Matte lip paint. As many of you already know, I love to try on new lipstick. What can I say? It’s just my thing. I have many lipsticks in my makeup bag.
However, I tend to be harsh when I review them. Why? Because I get very disappointed when some of them leave your lips looking and feeling as if you just stepped out of the desert. Who wants that feeling, especially when your lips are already super dry because of winter?
The pigmentation of this product is good. It stayed on for a few hours, was very hydrating, but settled a bit into lip lines. I give the product 3 out of 5 stars.
The next item is the Pacifica Beach Crystals eye shadow palette. I’m a huge fan of Pacifica’s products.
This eye shadow palette contains five different shades of natural base and darker tones for definition and lining. I applied the colors, and was pleasantly surprised by how creamy and super easy to blend they were. They had good pigmentation. I will not say that it is comparable to Sephora’s high-end brands, though. This palette is very tiny, so it will fit perfectly in your purse for touch-ups here and there. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
This Marc Anthony Straightening Grow Leave-in Conditioner does a miracle on your hair. This is my all-time favorite conditioner.
I have dry, color-treated hair, and this conditioner makes my hair feel moisturized and smooth. It brought life to it. I noticed my hair is less frizzy and unbelievably soft. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Now, we need to have a serious talk. Question: can I live without the Biobelle Perfecting Primer Facial Mask?! The answer is yes!
I did some reading on this mask, and I was very excited about its potential. However, I was disappointed. It is all about marketing with some products.
The mask comes out of the bag and goes onto your skin very easily. When I woke up Saturday morning, my allergies were acting up and taking over my body. I applied this product with the high hopes of noticing a huge difference, hoping it would minimize the puffiness under my eyes due to allergies. I was hoping to notice bright, hydrated, soft, and relaxed skin. Instead, I was left with dry, dull skin. I give this product 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Last, but not least, I love this Luxie Beauty blending brush. The rose gold handle is adorable.
Having that great makeup brush will improve your beauty regimen. This brush is super soft and gentle on your eyes. It is ideal for packing colors onto your eyes, and you will be amazed how close it gets to your eyelids.
I highly recommend this product. Remember, a good quality makeup brush does not have to be expensive. I will share below one of my favorites you can purchase at any drugstore. I know you are going to love this product. So, I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Before I go, here is my beauty tip for this week: unless you have oily skin, you only need to wash your face in the evening with lukewarm water. For those of you who are like me and have very dry skin, you are going to
notice amazing results. Thoroughly washing your face at night will remove all the dirt, oil, and other matter that has accumulated throughout the day.
Until my next update, try to find ways to be happy and Zen!
