This is my review for November’s glam bag. During the past few weeks, I had the opportunity to check this product out.
Okay, let’s start with the Aloe Soothing Renewal & Aquaringer Treatment Mask. I applied the mask to cleansed skin for 10 to 15 minutes. At the end, I noticed my skin looked brighter, hydrated, and soft. The mask also smooths out fine lines and wrinkles. 4.5 stars out of 5!
Two words: in love. I am talking about the JAPONESQUE Pixelated Finishing Powder. I’m sure I’m not alone. Before I head out to run at the health club, I apply just a light powder. I never leave the house without my make-up. The reason why I love this powder is it quickly hides some imperfections, and it gives my face a beautiful glow. 4.5 stars!
I liked the way the Deluxe Maracuja Oil made my skin feel, but, to be honest, I get the same results with a simple lavender oil. 3.5 stars! Moving on!
I’m not very excited about the Truffle Therapy Eye Cream. Yes, the eye area is very delicate and needs attention, but this cream is a bit too heavy for me. I’m going to give it 2.5 out of 5 stars!
I’m already in love with this mascara. The Balm Cosmetics Mad Lash® goes on very easily. I’m absolutely thrilled with this product. This mascara does a great job with lengthening my lashes, and it is easy to remove. The curved brush gives you extra volume and lift, like KK! 5 out of 5 stars.
Counting down the days! In South Texas, we had a white Christmas back in 2004. I can never forget that day! In many places around the country it is already cold and snowing. Here at home, it has been cold on and off. Let’s be ready, because a cold front is heading in our way, just in time for Christmas.
That’s why I like to dress in layers. I always opt for a short sleeve shirt under a heavy coat. After all, who wants to go out shopping or to a Christmas party and feel super hot because of heavy clothing? If you are planning spend a significant amount of time outdoors, then skip the layers, and stay warm. Enjoy the rest of the day.;)
Care amiche/friends, I had the same expression as Macaulay Culkin on my face over the weekend while I was waiting for the UCL draw. If you are a soccer fan, you know what I’m talking about.
The UEFA Champions League draw took place this morning at 5:00 AM. It’s official! Juventus will be playing with Porto! The first leg between Porto and Juventus will be in Portugal on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The second leg is set for Tuesday, March 14, at Juventus Stadium in Torino. I’m happy with the results, because the draw could have been worse. Happy Monday to all! Fino alla fine!
Care amiche/frieds, this is my “must-have” for this week. It was just shipped yesterday. Moisture Surge™ Extended Thirst Relief is a new addition to my daily skin-care routine.
I went shopping at Sephora last week and, while I was standing in line, this lovely lady, holding a basket full of makeup goodies, came up to me and asked me to close my eyes. She told me to reach in the basket for a free gift and, with a big smile on my face, I was happy to do so! Lucky me!
I reached in and got a small sample of Clinique moisturizer. At that moment, I was happy, but not very excited. That is only because, for the past year, I have been using an organic anti-aging set of creams that I totally love. To keep my skin glowing and beautiful, I need to constantly switch creams. I have been doing this for a long time. Is it working for me? Yes!
The “Moisture Surge™ Extended Thirst Relief, “ makes my skin feel flawless. When they say “this moisturizer provides 24 hours of moisture,” they are not kidding. During the winter months, our skin needs extra help. As a thyroid patient, mine is always super dry.
This cream also goes perfectly with my new “One and Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector.”
In conclusion, they are both getting a 5 out of 5 stars from me. Xx
Care amiche, the holiday season is here. Every year, right around this time, I feel more reflective on things in life. Lately, I have been enjoying self-reflection, meditation, and yoga. Maybe it is the Christmas season itself that makes me feel more reflective?
The holidays help us stay focused on the things that matter in life; things we are grateful for. Counting our blessings is a must. As beautiful as it is, this season, if you don’t plan properly, can bring a lot of stress.
We tend to do more cooking and shopping this time of year. So, what helps me keep the stress level low is proper planning. I learned the meaning of “less is more.” This is not a time to experiment or implement new recipes. Keep it simple.
I also try to keep my regular exercise routine. Even if I only have time for a 10-minute workout, it is better than nothing. By keeping a normal exercise routine, I keep the stress hormones low, and I have more energy throughout the day for extra cooking, shopping, and entertaining, if I need to.
What is your survival guide for making it through this season, and feeling zen? 😉
