Hello, my friends! It has been a while since my last update. As you know, I have multiple projects that I’m currently working on for Thrive Global, but I have honestly missed blogging.
On that note, I would like to ask you a question: what would you like to see more of on my blog? Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas.
Winter is still here. Why? Where is the sun?
In many areas of the country, we are still tackling Old Man Winter. In South Texas, the sun has disappeared, making us feel nostalgic for summer and tired of the clouds. Last year, right around this time, while I was recovering from a knee surgery, I wrote an article called “What is SAD?” I had the honor of having my dear friend and psychologist, Dennis Ramos, to share his thoughts on this type of depression that affects many people during the winter months.
Make time to shop!
A girl needs to shop, especially on the weekend. It does not matter if we are shopping at the mall or online, shopping makes us happy. When I feel down or stressed out, retail therapy works the best. Our brain adapts, and my brain has adapted to shopping to feel happy and relaxed.Studies show that shopping reduces stress and, besides practicing yoga and exercising, shopping remains the best and most effective way for me to minimize sadness and beat the winter blues. I just scroll and scroll through the pages on Chiara Ferragni’s website, Ulta, and Sephora, until I find that product that I need and love!
